On my way out, I bumped with M/M Wllliam Rol, FCCH president, 2001-2002, from Magsingal. Here's our picture.
Also, previous Vice President Eric Barsatan was there, too.
Mario and edna,

I have read all the articles and seen all the pictures featured on magsingal plaza and thank you for starting this link so all of us magsingalenos, whether retired or not, can establish contacts to our cailians, who are in or out of the country. While looking at the pictures featured, I recognized some of my relatives that I have not contacted since I moved back here in magsingal way back 1996. Thank you and keep up the good work, I pray more cailians will send in their articles and pictures so we can follow up on their progress here in the country and abroad.
I noticed that only Mr. Vic Andallo is commentating from Australia and being a 'lost' son of Magsingal I decided to join the fun from Sydney as well.
I just discovered this site today after giving up on finding some fresh news from Magsingal from elsewhere. In fact I just wrote a lengthy comment on Vic's latest column about 'SAVINGS'.
It's refreshing to read the comments just to feel the 'pulse' of the town from people presently living there and others who consider it their hometown.
From one who visited Magsingal recently I have one complaint. Not all of us can have a Blacberry or Laptops when we visit and it's a pain to get internet access from the several internet places they have now. It's full of young ones playing games and it's booked all the time.
For sure, all visitors will find the need to access the internet at any point in their visit and I dont know if the town hall has a public access for one.
May I offer a suggestion which I found to be be very useful here in Sydney? In all public libraries here they have internet access for free. It's exclusively used only for emailing and research. But maybe they already have one.

Through Lani's website(Lapoguenio Perspective), I learned about this website, which is so informative and entertaining, so to speak.
After a hard day's work, I hangout at these three sites, Lapoguenio, Magsingal Plaza, and SWI.(batch '79)

Manang Lyn, I have heard a lot about GILAS and they're doing a great job in providing PCs and internet connectivity to all public high schools in the Philippines (~5000 schools). This disqualifies SWI and TMI. We have 3 public high schools in Magsingal (MNHS, Manzante NHS and Puro NSH). Through the website, I have learned that MNHS has PCs in their school already. Their website is www.gilas.org and this initiative was started by Sen Mar Roxas, together with the Ayala Foundation. There's a site specifically for the US www.gilas-usa.org. I think this is a great initiative, hope we can get all get involved to computerise all the high schools in our town.

You are appreciated!
Mang Arthur,
Have you heard of GILAS - an Ayala educational foundation that promote and support computer literacy in public/private high schools? I attended GILAS informational meeting by Victoria Garchitorena, Vice president of Ayala Foundation at the Phil Consulate last night. I have learned that we have 2 high schools (MNHS and Manzante) that have computers but not hook up with the internet. I did not see St. Williams but maybe we can request for hook up as long as we have the funding of $2,500. For more info go to www.ayalafoundation.org.or www.gilas@ayala.com.
Fantastic website.....

You guys are doing GREAT!
It's the first week anniversary of our website today and we are so delighted for your warm reception, your active participation and your varying gestures support. We have received great email messages from many of you which are not published on the site, thanks for all your kind words.
The success of this online community will depend on you, our kailians. We can move forward only through your continuing participation, and to the extent that you find the site useful. The objective of this site is to bring Magsingal closer to all of you, so let's share every meaningful news, thought, event and dont be shy to share loads of photos.
When we conceptualised this site, we envisaged this to be a community for all Magsingalenos, regardless of age, location, perceived status in life, etc. The last thing we want to see happen, is for this online community to become the domain of only a few people or groups of people. I would like to particularly invite the young Magsingalenos. It's no secret that I am a big fan of the youth and I hope that you support this site by contributing your views, your ideas, your dreams and your aspirations.
Lastly, I know that deep in our hearts, we all love Magsingal dearly. Let's show that by looking after this site.
thanks a lot for this website!!! i am able to update news easily to my hometown MAGSINGAL. Thanks for your effort uncle VIC A. & CO. MABUHAY MAGSINGAL!!!!!!!!!!!
