Thought you have retired.... Petron must love you so much for not letting you go! Thanks for all the business...

Congratulations to your new nurse....

And when planning a vacation, you may want to try an OECD country - come to NZ....

Give my regards to Ronnie. And kiss your mama for me....

Dear Dole and Mario,

I am having a great time reading everything posted here. All the names ring a bell. The family updates and events, reunion photos, and the articles are of great interest to me. Dole, your piece MAGSINGAL, MY HEART BELONGS TO YOU touches the core of my heart.

Edgar is the only family member who has stayed in Ilocos. He works for the Department of Agriculture Provincial Office in Vigan. His wife Amelyn (nee Bueno) and his grown up sons have a thriving souverir and t-shirt business in Vigan. Brian, does the designs while Cromwell does the printing. Mama who underwent hip replacement last year lives with Franklin in his Quezon City home. Mama's being in Manila is the reason why I and my family do not travel to Magsingal as often as we used to.

Nasayaat laengen ta adda daytoy MVP nga naiyusuat. Congrats to the "geniuses" who made this a reality and to the virtual promenaders who visit the plaza tirelessly. God bless us all.

Great to see you and your family pictures here. You are still tall and handsome as I remember you at SWI elementary. My classmate then was your younger brother Edgar.

Your brother VJR has created a masterpiece here(MVP), together with another great Vic from San Ramon for virtual reconnection of all Magsingalenos around the world. It would not been possible to virtually see you now and a lot more Kailians if not from them. I consider these two "the Two Genuises from San Ramon" hehe but it is true. They created MVP before anybody else and we are all thankful to them.

The Collado family members were in the middle of celebrating our son Michael's passing of the recent nursing board exam when my brother in law, Ronnie told me about Magsingalplaza.com. I imposed a time out and looked at the site. But because Errol and I were the hosts I couln't leave my guests that long to read everything in the website. Finally found time today. Congrats to VCjr and his namesake for this great work. Regards to Chit (Jose), Renie (Villalobos), Cherie (Tipon), Terry Robles to name just a few. For those who have asked about Errol, he is now a grandfather of 3, father to 5 and still my housemate hehe. He works for Petron Corporation. You all make me proud to be a Magsingalena by affinity.

I noticed that only Mr. Vic Andallo is commentating from Australia and being a 'lost' son of Magsingal I decided to join the fun from Sydney as well.

I just discovered this site today after giving up on finding some fresh news from Magsingal from elsewhere. In fact I just wrote a lengthy comment on Vic's latest column about 'SAVINGS'.

It's refreshing to read the comments just to feel the 'pulse' of the town from people presently living there and others who consider it their hometown.

From one who visited Magsingal recently I have one complaint. Not all of us can have a Blacberry or Laptops when we visit and it's a pain to get internet access from the several internet places they have now. It's full of young ones playing games and it's booked all the time.

For sure, all visitors will find the need to access the internet at any point in their visit and I dont know if the town hall has a public access for one.

May I offer a suggestion which I found to be be very useful here in Sydney? In all public libraries here they have internet access for free. It's exclusively used only for emailing and research. But maybe they already have one.

Manang Lyn, I have heard a lot about GILAS and they're doing a great job in providing PCs and internet connectivity to all public high schools in the Philippines (~5000 schools). This disqualifies SWI and TMI. We have 3 public high schools in Magsingal (MNHS, Manzante NHS and Puro NSH). Through the website, I have learned that MNHS has PCs in their school already. Their website is www.gilas.org and this initiative was started by Sen Mar Roxas, together with the Ayala Foundation. There's a site specifically for the US www.gilas-usa.org. I think this is a great initiative, hope we can get all get involved to computerise all the high schools in our town.

You are appreciated!

Mang Arthur,
Have you heard of GILAS - an Ayala educational foundation that promote and support computer literacy in public/private high schools? I attended GILAS informational meeting by Victoria Garchitorena, Vice president of Ayala Foundation at the Phil Consulate last night. I have learned that we have 2 high schools (MNHS and Manzante) that have computers but not hook up with the internet. I did not see St. Williams but maybe we can request for hook up as long as we have the funding of $2,500. For more info go to www.ayalafoundation.org.or www.gilas@ayala.com.

It's the first week anniversary of our website today and we are so delighted for your warm reception, your active participation and your varying gestures support. We have received great email messages from many of you which are not published on the site, thanks for all your kind words.

The success of this online community will depend on you, our kailians. We can move forward only through your continuing participation, and to the extent that you find the site useful. The objective of this site is to bring Magsingal closer to all of you, so let's share every meaningful news, thought, event and dont be shy to share loads of photos.

When we conceptualised this site, we envisaged this to be a community for all Magsingalenos, regardless of age, location, perceived status in life, etc. The last thing we want to see happen, is for this online community to become the domain of only a few people or groups of people. I would like to particularly invite the young Magsingalenos. It's no secret that I am a big fan of the youth and I hope that you support this site by contributing your views, your ideas, your dreams and your aspirations.

Lastly, I know that deep in our hearts, we all love Magsingal dearly. Let's show that by looking after this site.
