I am still testing the first one and we have another new one? Wow! :o) It keeps on coming! Great job!

VCJ,
I just got reconnected to the internet and after 4 days of no internet, the first thing I did is to check MVP. And in just 4 days of not being able to log on MVP, I came back to check and find that there were alot of additional new comments and articles. That means that there are more and more magsingalenos logging onto MVP everyday. I also say and repeat my brother's accord to you being a genius. There is no doubt about that. I thank you very much from the bottom of my heart, for being a part of the founding of the MVP, otherwise I wouldn't be able to reconnect to our fellow magsingalenos. Mabuhay ka, ading for not being selfish and sharing your expertise.
Thanks, Manang Chit.
It's okey. We are used to it. We are both Vic's and both brains of the website, each in his own ways. So, whatever goes to him goes to me and vice versa. LOL
I'll send your regards to Manong Errol and Manong Ronnie.
Regards,
vjr
Hi Vic-
May I add my opinion too - that you are a DAMN GENIUS for creating the website and always looking for ways to improve it... (I take back what I told Vic A - akala ko siya yong brains, siya lang pala yong speaker...) LOL LOL (sorry Vic A)
GREAT WORK..... say hello to Errol & Ronnie when you get to talk to them...
manang chit
Mang GUU,
For the second time, I would like to remind you that you are entitled to your opinion. lol
vjr
VJR,
WOW! I called you a "genius" before but I want to remind you again,"you are a GENIUS"! for the second time..

This is a copy of the following message you sent to Magsingal Association of Northern California, Inc. via magsingal.org
Congratulations to the officers and members of the MAGSINGAL ASSOCIATION
OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA INC.
I was surfing the internet when I came across your Website. I was impressed that, inspite of the great distance separating our two countries, you have still time to think of helping our folks down here.
I, myself is from Magsingal. My wife (Editha Villa-Gorospe) and I founded VGENT FOUNDATION INC. Among its activities is subsidizing the
expenses of some high school students from Miramar in Magsingal and
Saoang in San Juan.
I wish to meet you someday to explore possible means of complementing our efforts in helping our townmates from "MayiSingal".

The latest article "Ang Buhay ko sa Canada" has been withdrawn for a major revision.
If I may add, this wireless smartbroadband is good for us who has been asking pldt and digitel to give us landline connection but never got one (since 1996 to present). Moreover in this 999 peso smartbro connection, I can surf unlimited hours, call my brother in hawaii (via pc to pc connection with webcam)free no matter how long.
Re: Internet Connection
I pay 999pesos for both my DSL and digitel monthly charges. My digitel monthly regular toll is (I think) 540 pesos, of course this excludes overseas calls, so the internet fee is just 459pesos a month on unlimited usage. Although it is not wireless (as of november 2007) like smart, I find it fast and okay.
I told my daughter that we can now chat 24/7 without additional telephone charges (as what we used to have when we were using the dial-up connection). But then I forgot about the electric bill that's why I almost had a heart attack when I got the fist bill after I came back in Saudi Arabia! hehehe....
I would like to let my cailians know that there is a way to stay connected to their folks in Magsingal...via internet. Smart has a promo called "smartbro" wherein you only pay 999 pesos a month and you have unlimited usage...free installation. But hurry up cause deadline is May 3. It works good and that is why you are reading this article right now.
Congratulations to Tet and Ben Ugale for their newborn, Benedict Jr. Well done to you both and congratulations to Janley as well for his new brother.
My warmest greetings to my Ka-ilians and to our fellow Ilocanos of our neighboring towns(Lapog, Sto Domingo, and the rest) at sa lahat ng ating mga Kababayan.
Congratulations to Vjr, Vic and those who made this great and wonderful site(magsingalplaza) possible. Sa mga contributors, I enjoyed reading your facinating, entertaining and enligthening articles, columns, news, literary piece at mga jokes at lahat lahat.
I just logged in at mnnetherlands(Munting nayon) and I saw the articlles of Sally and William. Congratulations, Seeing your articles published in their website makes me even prouder to be a Magsingaleno.
By the way William, I just passed by the "pagkampanaan" last night, Ang dami daming dalagang seksi roon kagabi, puro naka make-up at ang i-iksi ang mga damit, humahalimuyak ang hagin sa pabango nila, nagkukumpulan sila sa paligid ng bell tower, inaabangan daw nilang lumabas yong mga hapon, he,he..
Did you know that our site has caught the attention of another Filipino online community based in the Netherlands? In fact, the publisher has requested if they can publish three of our articles on www.mnnetherlands.com
Visit the site and see William's and Manang Sally's articles proudly gracing the pages of their site. Our fellow Magsingalenos are going places in cyberspace. Well done! Manong Vjr has a column in this site.
Manong vjr,
pinapintas mo manen a lallalo daytoy website tayo. maganda yung color combination at yung watermark effect dyan sa 'kablaaw' is also nice. ang galing mo talaga!

Thanks a lot, Avic. Waiting for more from your little paradise...

My best friend from Toronto{Amanda Lucson, Hi friend!} mentioned to me about this site and there it is. It makes me feel as if I were back home. My last home coming was way back 1996. I would like to congratulate all individuals whose involved in making this. Continue the good work because I'm proud to be from San Lucas Magsingal.
Ms m. tuquero is quite right.I believe in our freedom of speech, and rightly so.. we live in a free country.
I also understand the sensitivity to some of the subjects that is written and aware of it.They're interesting and debatable, mind you.
Positively sure that I missed quite a few people to acknowledge in creating the site..My apology everyone, whoever you guys are!!
Thanks to Manong Vicente Jr for his endless efforts to make our site look great and looking very professionally done. Manong Vjr is responsible for all the excellent layout and design that we are enjoying on the site. And best of all, this is all for the love of Magsingal.
To you Vic (Andallo).....You've created a tremendously interesting, informative and entertaining site. It's an almost voluptous pleasure to read the articles, for the're consistently fascinating.By generous measure,Magsingalplaza.com tells us as vividly or fully what it is like being at or away from home.My feelings exactly..from manang sally
Our website was earlier blocked by our network administrator and labelled it as activist/political/religious website. I pledged my employee identification number to guarantee that this not at all of that nature, hence they've unblocked it and is now under my accountability.
Although I am for the freedom of expression, my host country is not yet that 'open'. I don't want to get lost or be disassociated from my kailians, so I am appealing to all of you to please be cautious of the words that we use, of the issues that we discuss or the pictures that we publish in this website.
It is just my own personal appeal.
Manong Nestor, thanks for your message and for visiting the site everyday. I too am meeting people who I would never have met without the site.
Anak na ka gayam ni Nang Abbit Manong? I remember your house in the corner next to SWI because that's where we would walk home everyday. Yes, you were right about Manang Benita and where our house it.
Vic, good job! I visit this website everyday since its inception as magsingal.net. I enjoy reading articles like A Child's Perspective and The Tagala from Magsingal.
I must admit that I am already a stranger to most of our Kailians since I don't recognize most of the writers. I hope that we can get closer to each other by using this website.
For those who don't know or remember me, I am the son of the late Gabriela Viloria, who sold meat in the public market. My house is east of the St William's parish church.
Vic, I think I have seen you as a small boy and I, also remember your manang Benita. She's older than me. If I remember right you house was near Sanong's house. Am I correct?
Thanks for sharing us your time by maintaining this website.
I will write some more later on.
To those Kailians who are going back to Magsingal for vacation, you should try jogging all the way to Bussawit Hills and back. The best time to do it is before sunrise so that you can feel the early mist strucking your face everytime you move your feet forward. It is so relaxing! Try it!
Benjamin Banjo Uclaray Tolentino passed the the medical board. Congratulations!

Kudos to Vic and company for their work in publishing this website - a very good source of information about our hometown and its people. Perhaps we could find our long lost friends and former mentors/teachers here. How about a section for lost and found friends?
